Description

This is a notice of intent to enter into a contract with U.S. ECOLOGY INC., Richland, WA. (Subsidiary of American Ecology Corporation) for disposal of low-level radioactive waste. Performance Criteria: Provide services to dispose and bury the Low-Lev el Radioactive Waste (LLRW) generated by various DOD generators and other Government Agencies located in the Northwest and Rocky Mountain Compacts. Subject radiological waste disposal contractor must be able to meet Northwest and Rocky Mountain Compacts di sposal requirements. Provide services to dispose of Naturally Occurring or Accelerator Produced Radioactive Materials (NARM) and/or Naturally Occurring Radioactive Materials (NORM) as a waste stream. NORM/NARM LLRW can be disposed of as Class A, B, or C R adiological Waste. US Ecologys Facilities at Richland, WA is the only known disposal site to offer this option for disposal of NORM/NARM waste. All applicable permits and licenses are required. Any contract award will be under other than full and open c ompetition as authorized under FAR 6.302-1. This is not a request for offers. A determination not to compete this procurement based on response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
