- *****************PRESOLICITATION NOTICE************************* The objective of Iron Creek Road Stabilization Project is to replace culverts with larger structures capable of passing 100 year flows, sediment and likely large wood. The project will on will implement road improvements on Forest Roads 2517 by enhancing drainage to both minimize sediment delivery and maintain access. Two undersized culverts will be removed and replaced with larger elliptical corrugated metal pipes (10 feet in diameter) capable of withstanding 100-year flow events and likely debris. Additional structural protection (e.g. rip wrap) and local road maintenance (waterbars and road dips) will also be constructed to prevent erosion, intercept concentrated flows and provide drainage relief. Project Location FROM RANDLE, WA. Go South on Forest Road 25 for 17.26 miles to the 2516 road then 1.1 miles West to the 2516021 then 0.8 miles South to the 2517 road then 0.8 miles West on the 2517 road to the work site. You cannot reach the two work sites by going from the 25 road up the 2517 due to a closed bridge at milepost 1.9 of the 2517 road. The Government's estimate is: Between $25,000 and $100,000.
