- Description
- The purpose of this Sources Sought Synopsis is to survey the marketplace and develop a listing of interested potential sources for the listed requirement. Respondents to this Sources Sought Synopsis will be given the opportunity to respond to the Request For Proposal (RFP) when issued. Responding to this synopsis in no manner guarantees a contract will be awarded to the respondent or for the installation effort itself. The Government is performing Market Research of potential sources interested in the following requirement: Define a single Electronic Attack Receiver (EAR) unit configuration that will integrate into both Mini-MUTES and Joint Threat Emitter (JTE) pedestals. Define the equipment and software design, interoperability and interface requirements. Assembly, installation, interfacing, integrating, qualifying, and testing of up to thirty-three (33) Mini-Mutes and JTE Electronic Attack Receivers (EAR). Contractor may propose to install and test the EAR system either in-plant or at the various sites. If a contract results from this Sources Sought Synopsis, the contractor will provide data required by CDRLs to document the EAR system including interfaces, software and subsystem performance requirements; develop test plans for Qualification and Acceptance testing, accomplish logistics requirements appropriate to the logistics approach, accomplish data development including drawings and additional data per CDRL requirements. Kitted Pedestals and data for operation will be provided as Government Furnished Property/Equipment/Information. The contractor will be required to manage the EARs? production effort, to include quarterly program reviews, technical interchange meetings, and other technical and performance related reviews and meetings. Special tools/fixtures and materials will be required in order to perform the efforts outlined above. These are to be supplied by the potential sources. A list of these items will accompany any subsequent solicitation. Replies from interested potential sources shall be received by, COB 17:00 MST, 29 June 2005.
