- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. * * * THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION. * * * Quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation/synopsis reference number F1M3T45118A100 is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-03. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small businesses within a 25 mile radius of Charleston Air Force Base, South Carolina. The associated NAICS code is 33618 with 1,000 employee size standard. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. The agency need is for a rebuild/overhaul of one (1) Detroit 4-53 Diesel engine, model number: 50437000, registration number: 81D00092, serial number: 4D0183478, to include: new cylinder head, new connecting rods and bearings, new cylinder kits, new sleeve, main and cam bearing set, rebuilt injectors, rebuilt fuel supply pump, re-manufactured blower, rebuilt water pump, governor bearings, other bearings, seals, gaskets, misc parts, hoses, fluids and belts. Note: prior to services government will remove and deliver engine to contractor. After services, government will pick up from contractor and re-install engine. Because the government has to deliver/pickup the equipment, this solicitation is limited to a 25 mile radius from Charleston AFB, SC. A mandatory site visit is required. Individuals are encouraged to submit a quote. Offerors shall provide as a response to this solicitation: (1) a completed price schedule, and (2) completed FAR Clause 52.212-3, which may optionally be completed online at http://orca.bpn.gov/ The following clauses and provisions are incorporated and will remain in full force in any resultant award.
