Description
********This posting includes the original synopsis posted on March 31, 2005 and the modification to synopsis which was posted on May 26, 2005.******* Contractor is to provide fresh fruits and vegetables (FF&V) for 22 commissaries located in the Eastern Region of the Defense Commissary Agency: Georgia: Fort Gordon; North Carolina: Camp Lejeune, NC; Cherry Point, Fort Bragg North, Fort Bragg South, New River MCAS, Seymour Johnson AFB; South Carolina: Charleston AFB, Charleston NWS, Fort Jackson, Parris Island, Shaw AFB; Virginia: Fort Eustis, Fort Lee, Langley AFB, Little Creek NAB, Norfolk NOB, Oceana NAS, Portsmouth NNSY West Virginia: Sugar Grove; Keflavik NAS, Iceland and Guantanamo Bay NAS, Cuba. An Indefinite-Delivery Requirements Type contract is contemplated. The period of performance shall be for 24 consecutive months from date of award with two 12-month option periods to be exercised at the discretion of the Contracting Officer. The SIC is 5148 and the NAICS code is 445230 for this requirement with a size standard of 500 employees. The Request for Proposal will be released on or about May 31, 2005. This is an "All or None" solicitation, one contract will be awarded to a single source for all locations. This solicitation will be issued as a 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. The size standard to be considered a small business is employment of less than 500 employees. Small businesses interested in submitting a proposal package may seek assistance from your local Procurement Technical Assistance Centers (PTAC) or the Small Business Administration (SBA).
