Description

REQUEST FOR INFORMATION. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. NO SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE. The United States Senate Office of the Sergeant at Arms (SAA) currently uses Peregrine AssetCenter? for management of all Senate assets (inventory, budgeting, and accounting processes). The SAA is interested in receiving information, which may include vendor presentations, from vendors who have successfully interfaced and integrated a Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) with Peregrine AssetCenter?. This RFI is part of the market research being conducted in order to ascertain the feasibility and limitations of interfacing and integrating a COTS WMS with Peregrine AssetCenter?. The COTS WMS shall control the movement and storage of all materials within the Senate Warehouse and must provide real time and near real time data exchange with Peregrine Asset Center?. Features of the COTS WMS are web visibility/order entry; slotting optimization; real time receiving, putaway; RF, paper or automated picking; real time quality control; work order management; supply chain event management; and packing, shipping, and delivery. This is not a request for proposal and the Senate does not intend to pay for information submitted. Respondents will not be notified of any evaluated results from the data received. Responses are due no later than June 17, 2005 at 12:00 Noon EDT and shall be submitted electronically via e-mail only to acquisitions@saa.senate.gov to the attention of the POC. Fax, mail, or courier delivery of responses will not be permitted. Requests for copies of a solicitation will not be honored or acknowledged. NO FORMAL SOLICITATION IS BEING ISSUED AT THIS TIME. The page limitation is ten pages and the total file size limitation for e-mail attachments is 3 megabytes Access by the SAA to information in any files attached to a response is the responsibility of the submitting party. The SAA is not responsible for any failure to access information. The subject line of the e-mail message shall be 2005-RFI-060 Peregrine AssetCenter? COTS WMS Interface and Integration. The response must contain the following: 1) General Information about your firm (Company Name, Address, Point of Contact, Telephone Number, E-mail address, DUNS Number, and Tax ID Number); 2) A discussion of three examples of your successful interface and integration of a COTS WMS product with Peregrine AssetCenter?; 3) Technical product literature about the COTS WMS products; and 4) Three past performance references for the interface and integration of the COTS WMS products with AssetCenter?. Include a description of the dollar value of each contract/project and the total cost, references (agency/client name, point of contact, contact email and phone number. At the SAA option, vendor demonstrations of the Contractors? proven capability to interface and integrate a COTS WMS with Peregrine AssetCenter? may be requested from vendors responding to this announcement. These demonstrations shall be performed at the United States Senate, Washington D.C. in the summer of 2005 and should take no longer than three hours. The Senate or the SAA will not be responsible for any costs for the preparation of responses to this announcement or demonstrations. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES THE ENTIRE REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ANNOUNCEMENT AND IS THE ONLY INFORMATION PROVIDED BY THE SAA OR U.S. SENATE. REQUESTS FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION WILL NOT BE HONORED. -
