Description

The U.S. Coast Guard intends to contract for water transportation services for passengers and cargo between Coast Guard Station Ketchikan and Coast Guard LORAN Station Shoal Cove, Alaska. The Contractor shall provide all labor, insurance, equipment, and supervision for transportation services to carry up to 14 passengers with a minimum of 300 cubic feet of cargo storage, the vessel shall be capable of transporting 4000 pounds of cargo, excluding persons. The intended contract periods of performance are for one base year and four one-year options. The base year is expected to start 1 October 2005. The solicitation will be issued on or around June 23, 2005. All interested and capable firms are encouraged to download a copy of the solicitation and supporting documents from FedBizOps? electronic Posting system at www.eps.gov click on ?Vendor?, then ?DHS?, then ?United States Coast Guard, Commander (fcp-2) USCG Maintenance and Logistics Command Pacific, Alameda, CA?. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be issued. All eligible firms may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the Agency. Telephone, written, or E-mail requests for a hard copy of the solicitation will not be accepted, the solicitation must be down-loaded from the EPS (FedBizOpps) web site. This procurement is 100% set-a-side for Small Businesses. The applicable NAICS codes are 483113 and 483114, the applicable SIC code?s are 4481 and 4424. The Small Business size standard is 500 employees. This procurement is being awarded under the authority of FAR Subpart 12 ?Acquisitions of Commercial Items?.
