- The Marine Corps Systems Command is interested in developing and integrating Technology Roadmapping and Product Roadmapping capabilities for current and future Marine Corps acquisition programs. Technology roadmapping efforts will include technology-searching capability by functional areas across government, industry and foreign sources to capture key technical and programmatic information of use to Marine Corps Program Managers in planning for system upgrades and/or incorporation of new capabilities. Product roadmapping efforts include planning technology insertions in specific programs of record based upon technology maturity, cost, and schedule constraints. The intent is to utilize, to the greatest extent possible, a set of common tools, processes and procedures across all Warfighting functional areas (Command and Control, Maneuver, Logistics, Fires, Intelligence, Force Protection) for the Technology Roadmapping and Product Roadmapping efforts. Industry and/or go! vernment entities that have germane knowledge in technology planning, technology readiness levels assessment, or web-based tools that capture and track similar data are requested to send a detailed Capability Statement to the address below no later than 24 June 2005. Emailed Capability Statements will NOT be accepted. This sources sought/Request For Information (RFI) is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a Request for Proposal nor as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any product. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this RFI, or otherwise pay for the information requested. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges will arise as a result of any submission of responses to this RFI and the Government's use of such information. The Government recognizes that proprietary data may be part of this effort. If so included, clearly mark such restricted or proprietary data and present it as an addendum to the non-restricted/non-proprietary information. NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT EXISTS AT THIS TIME.
