- Description
- The purpose of amendment #2 is to change the announcement to read as follows: The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) intends to negotiate on a SOLE SOURCE basis with the University of Kansas Medical Center (KUMC), Kansas City, KS 66160-7177. The purpose of this acquisition is to maintain the on-line resources directory as a user-friendly, well-functioning, complete and current information source where individuals, organizations, and other institutions can gain ready access to important geriatric training materials produced with Federal grant funds. The Geriatrics Education Center (GEC) On-Line National Resource Directory database was developed by KUMC. The contractor shall coordinate the comprehensive collection, reporting, quality review, collation, compilation and incorporation of GEC curriculum and other educational material updates for the On-line GEC Resource Directory database through effective collaborations with all currently funded GEC's. The specific goals of this contract are to: 1) update and revise the On-Line National GEC Resource Directory on bi-annual (six month) basis); 2) bi-annually, the contractor shall contact each currently HRSA-funded GEC to obtain a complete, comprehensive, concise and accurate listing of all curriculum/educational materials, including publications, currently being offered/available; 3) provide instruction to any newly funded GEC on how to input their resources into the Directory; 4) ensure that accurate up-to-date listings of all educational materials are available; Add new resources to the database, and delete or updated outdated entries. Review information for accuracy, completion and conciseness; 5) determine methods of capturing product samples and copyright liabilities; and 6) all on-line Directory submissions shall be compiled in a database format and the database query application shall be maintained to make these resources accessible and searchable. The anticipated period of performance is for one (1) year with four 12-month option periods. The statutory authority is FAR Part 6.302-1 (a) (2) and 41 USC 253(c) (1), only one responsible source, no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Active Server Page (ASP) Program and the database are those owned and copyrighted by KUMC. KUMC developed the ASP database and is the only database that can meet HRSA?s needs. A Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition has been prepared by the Government. Any interested party may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is for informational purposes only, and is not a request for competitive proposals. The NAICS Code is 541990. See Numbered Note 22.
