Description
Classification Code - F - Natural Resources Management, NAICS 111940 - Hay Farming. Product Service Code F016. Contractor shall furnish all labor, supplies, equipment and transportation to complete the delivery of 500 tons of Grass Hay from 2005 cutting in accordance with the following. The hay is to be delivered to the Litchfield Wild Horse and Burro Facility located in Litchfield California, Lassen County see item K below for time frame. a. Domestically grown b. Sun-cured with no moisture damage, not heating. Properly stored and well cured. c. The hay shall consist of these grasses; timothy grass only or a combination of timothy, brome and orchard grass, used for food for domestic animals, cured, cut, and stored for fodder. d. Free of mold, dust, Russian Thistle or Prickly herb, "cheat grass, fox tails, corn stalks, bearded grain, and other long awns (spikelets), and any other weed or grass not considered healthy forage for domestic animals. e. Free from animal contamination, dangerous pesticides and foreign matter of any kind (i.e., wire, nails, or other debris). f. Hay shall be cut with a crimper and bailed with wire, or Rat and Rot-proof twine. g. Bales shall be delivered direct from fields or barns via clean vehicles not used for transport of livestock. h. Round bales or bales exceeding 130 pounds are not permissible. i. Bales shall be uniform lengths; ragged bales shall not be accepted. j. Bales with loose wire/twine or broken bales shall not be accepted. k. Delivered to the Litchfield, CA Corrals. Delivery of the initial 250 tons to begin by June 30, 2005 and be completed by July 6, 2005. Delivery of the last 250 tons to begin July 25, 2005 and be completed by August 1, 2005. l. Delivery and off-loading to be included in unit price. m. Each load to be accompanied by certified weight slip. n. Variation in quantity 10%. (Acceptable delivery: 450-550 tons) This solicitation is 100% set aside for small business concerns. numbered notes 1.
