Description

Project 502-04-110. Furnish all labor, material and equipment for interior renovations for installation of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) system and CT Scanner System, Bldg. 7, at VA Medical Center, Alexandria, Louisiana. This procurement is reserved for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small business concerns. Offers from other than Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small business concerns will not be considered, see Note No. 29. Work includes but not limited to renovating nuclear Medicine rooms, approximately 2395 square feet of space, to house the MRI system and CT Scanner System involving demolition of interior and exterior walls, ceilings and doors. The MRI room shall be magnetic and radio frequency shielded, the CT Scanner room shall be lead shielded, floor shall be modified to increase load capacity. Heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, mechanical and electrical work shall be included. Construction cost range $500,000 to $1,000,000. Completion time 180 calendar days. Ninety calendar day proposal acceptance period required. Solicitation documents and applicable drawings will be made available not earlier than June 24, 2005 and will be available for downloading from the website http://www.bos.oamm.va.gov/ or http://www.eps.gov/. Offerors will need to click on Solicitation 502-22-05 to download the documents. Pre-bid and walk through of the project time and location will be addressed in the solicitation. Any amendments issued to this solicitation will be available at this web address. Offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments, it is essential that offerors register on bidders? mailing list for this solicitation to receive notification of amendments. Award to be made based on price in accordance with formally advertised sealed bid procedures. NAICS Code 236220 applies.
