Description

The Long Beach VA Medical Center has a requirement for Project 600-307; Seismic Upgrade of B126 Out-Patient (OP). A Firm-Fixed Price Construction contract will be awarded. Contractor to provide supervision, labor, technical expertise, material, and supplies necessary to satisfy this requirement in accordance with specifications and drawings. Work will involve structural seismic upgrades to existing building (B126OP) to include: installation of new shotcrete walls onto existing interior and exterior shear walls; epoxy crack filling; and minor architectural, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC demolition and restoration. Interior work falls within an occupied clinic space, and will therefore require night work for that portion of the project. The space will remain operational during normal business hours. Solicitation documents, including technical specifications and drawings, will be available electronically on or about July 1 2005, at the following website: www.eps.gov/. Offerors will need to click on solicitation 600-152-05 to access solicitation documents and any Amendments. YOU ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO REGISTER TO RECEIVE NOTIFICATION OF UPLOAD OF THE RFP AND ANY AMENDMENTS AT THIS SITE, HOWEVER, OFFERORS ARE ADVISED TO CHECK THE SIGHT FREQUENTLY AS THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR OBTAINING AMENDMENTS. Ninety day bid acceptance period will be required. Bid Bond will be required. Electronic proposals will not be accepted. A Pre-Proposal Conference and Site Visit shall be held, date/time/location to be provided with the solicitation. NAICS: 236220, Small Business Size Standard: $28.5 Million. Project Magnitude: Between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. Contract Completion Time will be Two Hundred Ten (210) Calendar Days. Offerors must be currently registered on Central Contractor Registration, www.ccr.gov, and have completed online Representations and Certifications at http://orca.bpn.gov. This acquisition is restricted to Service-disabled Veteran-owned small business concerns and will be conducted in accordance with FAR 19.1405. Additionally, this acquisition will be conducted in accordance with FAR 15.101, Best Value Continuum, wherein technical evaluation factors, when combined, will be considered significantly more important than price.
