The Air Warfare Battlelab (AWB), Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho, is planning to conduct a study that will evaluate commercial options to solve the following problem: United States Air Force Medical Service requires a contagious casualty management/isolation capability for the Expeditionary Medical Support (EMEDS). The AWB is interested in Commercially available products that could be used as-is or slightly modified to solve this problem. These attributes are desired requirements by the USAF: 1. Usable in both intentional or natural occurring contagious disease outbreaks, laboratories and medical treatment situations 4. Collapsible, quick set-up 5. Must fit within the Alaska shelter system (20ft W x 32.5ft L x 10ft H) 6. Must provide space around each bed to provide standard patient care 7. Flexible system which can support 1-4 beds per chamber 8. Durable and easily repairable with a shelf life of five (5) years 9. Able to be shipped on standard Air Force cargo pallet (108inX88in) 10. Operate off of 110V/60 cycle power 11. Unit has negative flow options/filters 12. HEPA filtered exhaust 13. At least 12 exchanges/hour The AWB is seeking the following specific information from industry representatives: 1. The manufacturers suggested retail price and/or a schedule of lease pricing for the commercial product. 2. The name of distributors who could sell to the Government. 3. The degree to which the product can meet or exceed the above desirable and beneficial attributes of the USAF. Requested information must be submitted NO LATER THAN 3 Jul 05 to Major Cathy Blacklock, Air Warfare Battlelab, 360 Gunfighter Ave, Suite 1, Mountain Home AFB, ID 83648 or Email cathy.blacklock@mountainhome.af.mil. Major Blacklock can be reached at (208) 828-3542. A formal solicitation MAY NOT BE ISSUED as a result of this RFI. Information provided may or may not be included in a formal solicitation.
