Description

Item to be procured: 68 (Sixty-eight) each, Window, Optical Instrument, NSN 1240-01-063-1347, P/N SM-D-805050. Major End Item is M60A3. There are two(2) Not To Exceed 100% options associated with this procurement in each of the first two years following contract award. The Government reserves the right to exercise subsequent options without any requirement that the Government exercise any portion of earlier option(s) first. Specifically, the Government's right to exercise subsequent options is not contingent upon the Government exercising earlier options. This is a 100% Small Business setaside procurement. Item material is germanium per SM-C-773478-21. Approximate size is 4.725 inches wide x 6.000 inches long x .250 inches thick. Environmental laws apply, as there is hazardous material in END PRODUCT and hazardous waste in PRODUCTION. There are a number of source-controlled drawings associated with this first-time competitive breakout. Estimated issue date for solicitation is 30 June 2005. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the internet: https://aais.ria.army.mil/AAIS/SOLINFO/index .htm CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same.
