Description

THIS PROJECT IS ADVERTISED ON AN UNRESTRICTED BASIS PURSUANT TO THE SMALL BUSINESS COMPETITIVE DEMONSTRATION PROGR AM (OPEN TO EVERYONE). THE NORTH AMERICAN INDUSTRY CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM (NAICS) CODE FOR THIS PROJECT IS 237990. This work consists of Rental of Hopper Dredge with Attendant Plant and Operators for Maintenance Dredging in navigation channels along the Gulf Coast of Mississippi, Alabama, and Northwest Florida. The primary work location is intended to be Mobile Harbor , however, work at Pascagoula Harbor, Gulfport Harbor, Pensacola Harbor and Panama City Harbor are also possible. The work will consist of removal and satisfactory disposal of material above 52 feet. Excavated material will be transported and deposited into the Gulf Open Water D/A. Hopper Dredge should have pump discharge of 24 to 33.5 inch diameter with all necessary materials, supplies, labor and transportation. Estimated cost range of the project is from $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. **BID OPENING DATE LISTED IS TENTATIVE. BID OPENING DATE WILL BE ANNOUNCED BY AMENDMENT. Solicitation documents should be available on or about 21 June 2005. Mr. Leo J. Hickman is Contracting Officer for this project. Note: The above general outline of the work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the Contractor to perform all work and furnish all plant, labor, equipment and materials required by the specifications and the drawings referred to therein. Electronic medium for the bid submittal documents will not be allowed. 4. Critical Path method (Network Analysis System) is not required. 5. For this job, a small business is defined as having average annual receipts of less than $17,000,000 for the past three years. 6.
