Description
The U.S. Army TACOM, Picatinny Center for Contracting and Commerce, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000 is conducting a Market Survey to identify potential manufacturers with extensive experience and facilities in place to produce Palletized Mounting Kits for the M139 Volcano Mine Dispenser system. The purpose of the Market Survey is to locate manufacturing sources for the mounting kits, National Stock Number 1095-01-492-4259 ARDEC part number 12998169. The Palletized Volcano Mounting Kit is the mechanical and electronic interface between the M139 Volcano Mine Dispenser System and the M1120 HEMTT LHS outfitted with the M1 Flatrack. It consists of: an aluminum a-frame 44 in. x 37 in. x 32 in.; a 95 in. x 86 in. x 5 in. steel flatrack pallet adapter; Volcano power and launcher rack data cables; Volcano Hand Control Unit; launcher rack coding connectors; 50 in. x 44 in. x 44 in. aluminum container; 90 in. x 100 in. wood pallet and a protective kevlar blanket for the Volcano Dispenser Control Unit. The estimated quantity of mounting kits is three over a period of eight months with the potential for an option of 3 additional kits. This notice serves as a source seeking notice/market survey for informational/ planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a formal solicitation or as an obligation on the part of the Government. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this market survey or pay for the information solicited. If a formal solicitation is generated at a later date, a solicitation notice will be published. The Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this survey. Interested, responsible sources are requested to submit information on their company’s capabilities. The response must provide documentation and descriptive literature showing experience with building the Palletized Volcano Mounting Kit and its components and an extensive working knowledge of the Volcano System. Manufacturing capability must include experience and facilities for fabrication and testing of electronic and mechanical components similar to those in the kit and any other relevant supporting documentation. Interested firms are invited to submit responses, either electronically or via hard copy.
