Description

The Department of Commerce, National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration, Eastern Region Acquisition Division intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with the Institute of Ecosystem Studies for the analysis of the impact of regional and local mercury emissions on mercury wet desposition in various regions of the United States. The Institute has pioneered and developed the methodologies being used for this research, and are uniquely qualified with existing methodologies, datasets, techniques and programs in place. The statutory authority is 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1), Only One Responsible Source. The applicable NAICS code is 541710, Research and Development in the Physical, Engineering and Life Sciences. The size standard is 500 employees. The anticipated performance period is from July 2005 through December 2005. This is a simplified acquisition anticipated to be below the $100,000 threshold. No quotes received in response to this announcement shall be considered. This is not a solicitation for quotes.
