Description: Red River Army Depot, Texarkana, Texas, 75507-5000 has a sole source requirement for 350,000 pounds of silica sand and 250,000 pounds of lime for use in the fluidized bed rubber denuding system. The sand and lime required are from Seghers-Keppel Tec hnology, Inc. Proposed contract action is for a commercial item for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and responses to t his notice will normally be considered for the purpose of determination of future competitive buys. The determination by the government not to compete with this proposed contract is solely within the discretion of the government.
