- Description
- Rock Island Arsenal Building 230 Weld Station Upgrade, contractor will provide a turn-key solution to upgrade building 230 to operate an industrial welding operation. The major components of the project to be provided include, (17) Fully Equipped We ld Booths, (1) Dust Collector, Ventilation, Equipment Installation, Plumbing of Gasses, Electrical Installation, Engineering Support for IEPA Permitting, and Training. Each weld booth shall contain a Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) station including, but not limited to (1) Miller Syncrowave LX w/Cooler, part number 907198-01-1. (1) Miller Invision 456P MIG power supply, model number 903505-01-1. Weld curtains, Hose reels and all the necessary accessories required to begin safe and efficient operation of the weld operation. The contractor shall be responsible for designing, providing, and installing a ventilation system capable of maintaining IEPA compliance, all plumbing necessary to support the weld booths, bulk gas systems and ventilation systems, all electrical utilities necessary to support the weld booths, bulk gas systems and ventilation systems. The contractor shall be responsible for supporting the IEPA application process by supplying information and material as required by Rock Island Arsenal e nvironmental personnel. The contractor shall provide training as necessary to operate and maintain the equipment. Contractor will be solely responsible for providing all labor, material, hardware, tools, and equipment necessary for complete installation of this system in accordance with Rock Island Arsenal Purchase Description J4000-01-12-2005. Installation of the weld station upgrade shall be complete by October 1, 2005. Delivery is FOB destination, Rock Island Arsenal. Approximate solicitation issue date is June 17, 2005, with closing date 30 days from issue. Once issued, copies of the solicitation and the Purchase Description will be available for download from the Army Single Face To Industry website at: https://acquisition.army.mil. It will be t he responsibility of the contractors to check this website for the issuing and any changes to the solicitation. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be distributed. A site visit will be required, additional information regarding the site visit will b e available with the solicitation. The solicitation is unrestricted. The North American Industry Classification Code is 333992, 500 employees.
