Description

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 333611 and the size standard is 1,000 employees. The Grand Coulee Power Office, located in Grant County, Washington, approximately 90 miles west of Spokane, Washington, has a requirement to furnish, install, and test one stainless steel replacement impeller with all appurtenant parts including nickel aluminum bronze stationary wear rings and mechanical seal for Pump Unit P3 at the Grand Coulee Dam Pumping-Generating Plant. Work shall include designing, building, and testing a hydraulic pump model, if necessary. The solicitation will be issued as a supply contract with some construction. The solicitation will be issued as a supply contract with some construction. Award will be based on the best value to the Government and evaluation criteria will include technical factors such as pump performance, manufacturing/installation experience and past performance, mechanical seal design with subfactors. Section L and M of the solicitation package will discuss in further details the evaluation factors and process. This requirement is full and open competition. This requirement is not set-aside. The solicitation will be available on CD-ROM in Adobe Acrobat format and will be available on or about July 12, 2005 (this is an estimated date). To obtain a copy of the CD and be included on the planholder list, interested offerors must register on our website at www.usbr.gov/pn/contracts/supply. If you don=t provide your DUNS (Data Universal Numbering System) and TIN (Taxpayer Identification Number) on the electronic registration form, we will not send the solicitation to you. Telephone requests for the solicitation will not be accepted. There is no charge for the first copy of the CD and a charge of $15 for each additional copy requested. We reserve the right to issue the solicitation on paper if it becomes necessary. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which we will consider. See numbered notes 12 and 26.
