Description

Rental of three high-wing multi-engine aircraft, such as Aero Commander 680FL or 690A, to support the NOAA National Marine Mammal Laboratory in a harbor seal survey of the Alaska Peninsula. Surveys will be flown at an altitude of 500-800 feet MSL. Start date for one aircraft is August 11, 2005 and ends August 23, 2005. The other two aircraft will start on August 16, 2005 and ends August 26, 2005. Aircraft will be equipped with GPS with data port, VHF-FM radio, untinted flat windows or one that opens for photography, AFF satellite tracking system, headsets with mics, over-water survival equipment including life raft, 12 volt power outlet for observer and a satellite iridium phone. Vendor must have Part 135 or 121 authority and have an Aircraft Rental Agreement (ARA) with Alaska Regional Office of Aviation Management. Pilot and aircraft will be endorsed for resource reconnaissance. If one Vendor is unable to supply all three aircraft, an award will be issued to a second Vendor.
