- The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Upstate New York Service Center is SOLICITING CONSTRUCTION SERVICES. This procurement for Building Alterations falls under NAICS code 237310 with a Small Business Size Standard of $28.5 million. Performance and payment bonds will be required pursuant to the Miller act. Wage determination in accordance with the Davis Bacon Act will be included in the solicitation package. The Scope of Work includes but is not limited to, providing supervision, equipment, labor and material to clean, prepare, seal, and stripe approximately 208,000 square feet (contractor to field verify) of pavement to include a main parking area, main entrance/exit and entrance/exit roadways, inside perimeter roadways, outside perimeter roadways, sally port security roadway, loading dock asphalt area, and recreational areas (8 separate pods). Striping will include, but not be limited to, restripe/relabel all existing parking areas, dock lanes, entry double line and light reflectve stripes on facility entrance and exit lanes. Stripe basketball keys in all 8 recreation areas (basketball key interior centers will be green in color.) Work will require phasing and/or weekend work. Project completion time is approximately 120 days. The magnitude of this project is estimated between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. Although this procurement is set aside to small businesses, small woman-owned, small minority-owned, small HUB Zone, small Veteran-Owned, and service disabled Veteran-Owned firms are strongly encouraged to participate. How to Offer: Potential offerors having the capabilities to perform the services described herein are invited to respond by submitting the following information: a one-page letter on company letterhead stating interest in the project; a copy of a valid business license or other documentation granted by the State or local jurisdiction to conduct business (containing at a minimum the following information- name, address, phone number of the company, state of incorporation, and the name of the individual legally authorized to act for the company); a valid DUNS number for the business whose license is presented (If a company does not have a Duns number please contact Dun & Bradstreet at (1-800-362-3425); a valid IRS Tax ID number for the business whose license is presented; and a valid picture state drivers license of the person(s) to whom the documentation is to be entrusted. Firms providing this information will be provided a copy of the Request for Proposals (RFP) package. The tentative date for release of the RFP is June 23, 2005. The RFP will provide additional information regarding the proposal submission format and will be issued via mail to interested parties.
