Description

The solicitation for prequalification is amended as follows: REQUEST FOR PREQUALIFICATION STATEMENT: Contact Sharon Weber via email sharon.k.weber@usps.gov. DO NOT SEND A FAX REQUEST. TERMS & CONDITIONS: Firms shall be pre-qualified for a period of five (5) years from the date of notification. The USPS may extend the prequalification period for another three years upon completion of the 5-year prequalification period, taking into consideration performance, capabilities, and other factors. The USPS may remove firms from the prequalification list, taking into consideration performance, capabilities, and other factors. GEOGRAPHIC AREA: Interested firms may select one or more geographic areas for which to be considered; i.e., Region One, Region Two, Region Three, and/or Region Four. DESCRIPTION OF CONTRACT TYPES: Design/Build - Design and construction contract based on a solicitation with 10% to 30% design drawings. The design builder provides a fixed price to finish the design and build the facility. Interested firms may select projects valued between $250,000 and $2,500,000 or between $250,000 and $5,000,000, and/or design/build projects $5,000,000 or greater. Construction - Construction only based on a solicitation with 100% design. Interested firms may select construction projects valued between $250,000 and $2,500,000 or between $250,000 and $5,000,000, and/or construction projects $5,000,000 or greater. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Firms must have five years experience as a Design/Build or Construction entity. If submitting for Design/Build, firms must have completed two comparable design/build projects within the past five years. One of the two projects may be ongoing. If submitting for Construction, firms must have completed two comparable construction projects within the past five years. One of the two projects may be ongoing. DUE DATE: The Qualification Statement due date has been extended to June 30, 2005.
