Description

This is a pre-solicitation notice for Aircraft Deicing Fluid Recovery Service at Grand Forks AFB, ND. The upcoming solicitation will be issued as a request for proposal (RFP) for commercial items under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. The resultant contract is to provide aircraft deicing fluid (glycol) recovery and disposal service at Grand Forks AFB, North Dakota. Work includes collecting spent deicing fluid off of the ground, storage of recovered fluids, and disposal/recycling of fluids. This will be an unrestricted acquisition with the North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) of 488119 with a size standard of $6 million. The period of performance will be a basic period (1 Oct 05 to 30 Apr 06) with four option periods (seven months each). The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price Requirements type contract using Performance Price Tradeoff Procedures. The anticipated award is subject to the availability of funds. The Government anticipates the issuance of the solicitation on or about 27 Jun 05. The entire solicitation will be made available only on the Federal Business Opportunities website (http://www.eps.gov). No paper copies will be issued. Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for release of the solicitation package. To be eligible for contract award, offerors must be registered in the DoD Central Contractor Registration (CCR) system at http://www.ccr.gov or by contacting customer service at 1-888-227-2423.
