Description
The Single-Axis Electro-Dynamic Shaker System (SAEDSS) shall be an integrated multi-purpose single-axis electro-dynamic shaker system for producing mechanical shock and vibration environments in a single direction at a time onto a test specimen from small to very large in size. The SAEDSS consists of three identical electro-dynamic vibrators each mounted on a very stiff, well damped base with integral horizontal slip table and support hardware such as field power supplies, cooling, and hydraulic units. Shakers can be repositioned on the reaction mass to accommodate the test article as required. SAEDSS sub-systems include: Three each electro-dynamic shakers, each of which include: 20,000 to 25,000 pound-force exciter hard mounted to an integral horizontal slip table assembly (Uni-Base); Stand-alone field power supply; Stand-alone shaker cooling unit; Stand-alone shaker bearing hydraulic power supply; Stand-alone horizontal table bearing hydraulic power supply; Dedicated Ethernet interfaced remote control unit with full manual maintenance control panel; Modification or replacement of existing seismic mass and fully integrated into the Survivability Vulnerability Integration Center (SVIC) shock and vibe lab. All work shall be done in accordance with the attached Statement of Work (SOW) and Technical Requirements Document (TRD). A tentative site visit will be scheduled for 22 February. Information on location and time will be provided with the Solicitation package.
