Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This notice is issued as a total small business set-aside. The requirement is FFP type for the procurement of Two self-cont ained, forced-air cooled, broadband traveling wave tube (TWT) microwave amplifiers, CLIN 0001: Qty of 1 each Amplifier designed for wide instantaneous bandwidth, high gain and moderate power output and provide a conservative 40 watts minimum at the amplifi er output connector. Stated power specifications shall be at the fundamental frequency (18-26.5 GHz TWT Amplifier) CLIN 0002: Qty of 1 each Amplifier designed for wide instantaneous bandwidth, high gain and moderate power output and provide a conservativ e 40 watts minimum at the amplifier output connector. Stated power specifications shall be the fundmental frequency. The amplifier's front panel digital readout will show forward and reflected output plus extensive system status information accessed throu gh a series of menus via soft keys. Status indicators shall include power on, warm-up, standby, operate, faults, excess reflected power warning and remote. Standard features include a built-in IEEE-4888 (GPIB) interface, )OdBm input, VSWR protection, gai n control RF output sample port, auto sleep, plus monitoring of TWT helix current, cathode voltage, collector voltage, heater current, heater voltage, base plate temperature and cabinet temperature. The unit will use a switching mode power supply for weig ht reduction, designed for bench top use, but cabinet shall be removable for rack mounting. Amplifiers shall be compatible with A-R Worldwide Model SP-10 and existing system currently in use at APG. Delivery shall be at Destination, Aberdeen Proving Grou nd, MD, 21005, and priced as such. Offerors must submit a proposed delivery schedule for the requested requirement. Offerors must include a completed copy of the provision at Clause 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications, Commercial Items. Applicable Clauses to this solicitation are 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions, Commercial Items, Clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders, Commercial Items. In accordance with Part 13.106, a description of the relative iimportance of evaluation factors is not required. The award shall be based on the best value to the Gvernment, all factors considered.
