Description
REQUEST FOR INFORMATION The Department of the Interior (DOI) is seeking information on fees related to the investment management of a fixed income investment portfolio consisting of U.S. Government securities. The approximate market value of the portfolio is $400 million. DOI is soliciting general information, not specific proposals. Responses should be based upon industry knowledge, experience and expertise. Responses will not be considered binding on any possible, future requests for proposal for investment management services. QUESTIONS: Based upon a $400 million, fixed income investment portfolio consisting of U.S. Government securities: What do you believe is the range of annual fees (in basis points) which the fixed income investment management industry would charge for a mandate designed to achieve minimal book value fluctuation by matching realized portfolio gains and losses? What do you believe is the range of annual fees (in basis points) which the fixed income investment management industry would charge for a low duration, total return mandate? What do you believe is the range of fees (in basis points) which the fixed income investment management industry would charge to implement a stable value wrapper around a low duration portfolio of U.S. government fixed income securities? What do you believe is the range of annual fees (in basis points) which the fixed income investment management industry would charge to implement and manage a low duration, stable value fund, consisting of a low duration portfolio of U.S. government fixed income securities, on an ongoing basis? The mandate would include implementing and managing the stable value Wrapper as well as managing the underlying portfolio on a total return basis.
