- The Coast Guard intends to solicit, negotiate and award a sole-source procurement to MacKay Communications, 9655 Florida Mining Blvd, Building 300, Suite 311, Jacksonville, Florida 32257 for the following: 3 each NERA Inmarsat BM systems complete with ADU, BDU, Handset, Cable, CN17 SW, HSD, STD, STU III and Rotary Joint Installation. 1 ea NERA Inmarsat BM MCU, Part # QUFC911901-2. Manufacturer is NERA Telecommunications, and MacKay is the only distributor that NERA will honor the warranty for the Inmarsat MB terminals. Delivery will be to Alameda, CA 94501-5100. The NAICS Code is 334220. The small business size standard is 750 employees. The contract type will be firm-fixed price. If no responses are received within fifteen (15) days with sufficient information to determine that another responsible source is available, negotiations will be conducted with MacKay Communications and no solicitation will be issued. If responses are received within the 15 days, with relevant information, then a solicitation will be issued on/about 29 June 2005, closing on/about 11 July 2005.
