- The U.S. Army Research Development and Engineering Command, Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center (RDECOM-ARDEC), Picatinny, NJ 07806-5000 seeks to acquire the services of a qualified contractor to provide logistics management for the Modular Artillery Charge System (MACS) along with chairing the MACS Supportability Integrated Product Team (IPT) in support of Materiel Release (MR) actions during the MACS M232A1 process. This contractor shall create and maintain the MACS user database, which will form the basis for providing training material and information appropriate to the user. While functioning as a PM Combat Ammunition Systems (PM CAS???s) Point of Contact (POC), the contractor???s primary responsibility shall be to respond to user inquiries related to MACS fielding and training, and shall staff the MACS Materiel Fielding Plan with the Army???s Major Command (MACOM???s). This will include distributing the final plan, obtaining Material Fielding Agreements from the MACOM???s, and preparing worldwide messages with appropriate MACS fielding information. The contractor shall also interface with the Joint Munitions Command (JTC) Ammunition National Inventory Control Point located at Rock Island Arsenal, IL, to provide and obtain information in support of MACS stockpile, training assets and future needs. The contractor shall author articles for various technical and service periodicals relating to the fielding and use of MACS. Travel will be required to Active Army and National Guard Field Artillery (FA) organizations. The primary purpose is to provide users technical and logistic support during their initial use of the MACS, M231, M232 and M232A1 propellant charges, and to meet with the MACS National Inventory Control Manager, in support of training allocations made semi annually by the Committee on Ammunition Logistics (CALS). This is a market survey for information only and shall not be construed as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the US Government. The US Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this market survey or otherwise pay for information solicited.
