Description

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has a requirement for fuels management services outside of North Columbia, Nevada County, California. The purpose of the STEWARDSHIP PROJECT is to provide services for fules reduction and promote forest health by reducing the fuels load. This will help reduce the risk of catastrophic fire, insect, and disease outbreaks. The proposed of this action is Pre-commercial Thinning, Hand Cutting and Chipping, 57 Acres and Pre-commercial Thinning, Mechanical Mastication, 32 Acres. This includes furnishing all technical expertise, labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, operating supplies, and incidentals necessary to complete the work required. The period of performance will begin on or about July 25, 2005 and continue to approximately Oct 31, 2005. This requirement is 100% set-aside for small businesses under NAICS 115310. This is a combined Synopsis/Solicitation. A pre-proposal site tour will be held on June 30, 2005 at 11:00 am at North Columbia School House/ and Cultural Center, 17894 Tyler Foote Rd, North Columbia, California. From Nevada City, CA go north on Hwy 49 turn east (right) onto Tyler Foote Rd., go approximately 8 miles to North Columbia, CA. Offerors intending to attend the site tour contact Folsom BLM office at (916) 985-4474. Potential offerors may obtain a copy of the solicitation at http://www.fedbizopps.gov or http//ideasec.nbc.gov. No hard copies of the solicitation will be provided. Contractors must be registered at http//www.ccr.gov to be considered eligible for award. Facsimile proposals will not be accepted.
