Description

The intent of this contract is to secure services to mechanically thin conifers and brush cutting according to contract specifications. Thinning shall consist of selecting crop trees and mechanically cutting all other trees and brush except for areas designated by the Contracting Officer Representative (COR). The COR will designate areas where the brush may be left, if any, but thinning shall still be done. Thinning and brush cutting shall be done in a manner that does not damage leave trees not specified to be treated. Project is located on the Tahoe National Forest, American River and Yuba River Ranger Districts. On the American River RD travel northeast from Foresthill on highway 96 approximately 24 miles. On the Yuba River RD access by traveling on highway 20 east of Nevada City, California. Estimated starting date is July 25, 2005. Contract time is approximately 185 days.
