- The US Department of Veterans Affairs intends to make a sole source award to University Clinical and Education Research Associates (UCERA), Honolulu, Hawaii, to provide Research and Research Support Services to develop and facilitate the delivery of healthcare, technology, education, and training for the VA/DoD Pacific Telehealth & Technology Partnership (Hui) utilizing emerging technologies such as virtual reality, computational biology, and biotechnology. UCERA developed applications used in previous work done by the Hui, and is the only known source for these services. This synopsis is a notice of intent to issue a non-competitive contract to UCERA, and should not be considered a request for competitive proposals. The determination of the Government not to open the subject procurement to full and open competition was made in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 and 41 USC 253(c)(1), and is solely at the discretion of the Government. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than June 22, 2005, 1:00pm Central Standard Time. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
