Description

Vicksburg Consolidated Contracts Office intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 to Network Appliance, Inc., 495 East Java Drive, Sunnyvale, CA. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Proc edures (SAP)  only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Network Appliance is the only vendor that is capable of meeting the Governments requirements for upgrading the existing maintenance on the Netwo rk Appliance equipment. The Government intends to acquire a commercial service using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later that 12:00noon CST on 22 June 2005. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effo rt on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. No RFP will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent.
