Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; Requests For Quotation (RFQ) shall be issued and a written solicitation will NOT be issued. The Coast Guard ELC intends on obtaining pricing directly from the manufacturer(s) or its authorized distributors. BRAND NAME OR EQUAL are accepted. Quotations shall include unit price, proposed delivery in days (after receipt of order), your company and Tax ID number and DUNS number. Each unit shall be individually packaged. Each unit shall be individually marked In accordance with MIL-STD-129. Bar Coding In accordance with ANSI/AIM BC1 is required. The Request For Quotation (RFQ) number is HSCG40-05-Q-20358. This RFQ incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-45. Applicable Standard Industrial Classification Code (SIC) is 2298, North American Industry Code is 314991, size 500 employees. The acquisition is: Item 001. 2040-01-254-5284, Line Reeving Device, (Happy Hooker Mooring Device); Polished Stainless Steel; Jaw Opening 4 Inches (10.16 CM); Jaw Depth 8.5 Inches (21.59 CM); will accomodate a Lifting Eye of 4 Inches (10.16 CM); control Line Eye 0.05 Inches (0.127 CM) Diameter. Stearns Part Number B203STN or Equivalent; Each Unit to be Individually Packaged in accordance with ASTM D 3951, Standard Practice for Commercial Packaging. Each Unit to be Individually Marked in accordance with MIL-STD-129P. Bar Coding in accordance with ANSI/AIM BC 1 is required. Inspection at Destination. U.S. Patent Number: 381-3122. Delivery to be made within 90 days after award. Items to be delivered F.O.B. Destination to: Receiving Officer, USCG Engineering Logistics Center, Warehouse Receiving Room Bldg. 88, Baltimore, Maryland, 21226. Final acceptance shall be at destination. All responsible and responsive sources will be considered by this agency. The following provisions and clauses can be accessed via the Internet at the following address: www.arnet.gov. Hard copies of the RFQ will not be mailed or distributed by this office. The following FAR provisions and clauses apply to this RFQ and are incorporated by reference: FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors--Commercial Items (Jan 2005). The following addenda is added to FAR 52.212-1: (1) Paragraph (b) -- Quoters who choose to submit their RFQ on a SF 1449 may contact Devora Ford for a copy of the SF 1449. FAR provision 52.212-2 (JAN 1999) is tailored to read that award will be made to the offeror(s) who submits the lowest price and fastest delivery based on best value criteria. Offerors are instructed to include a completed copy of FAR provision 52.212-3, "Offerors Representatives and Certification--Commercial Items with their offer. FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-- Commercial Items (OCT 2003), FAR 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders (OCT 2003) applies to this acquisition and the following clauses cited in the clause are applicable to this acquisition: FAR 52.222-26 Equal Opportunity (E.O.11246); FAR 52.222-35, Affirmative Action for Special Disabled and Vietnam Era (38 U.S.C. 4212); FAR 52.222-36 Affirmative Action for Handicapped Workers (29 U.S.C. 793); FAR 52.222-37 Employment Reports on Special Disabled Veterans and Veterans of the Vietnam Era (38 U.S.C. 4212); FAR 52.225-3 Buy American Act--Supplies (41 U.S.C. 10). Closing date and time for receipt of offers is 23 June, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Submit quotes in accordance with FAR provision 52.212-1. It is the offerors responsibility to monitor the EPS system for any amendments to the RFQ.
