- Description
- This project is for construction to include all labor and materials to complete clearing and grubbing, excavation, lime subgrade stabilization, placing crushed aggregate, prime coating aggregate base, asphalt surface treatment, placing hot mix asphalt, installing concrete curb wheel stops, and pavement markings for the Scott?s Ridge Recreation Area Beach Access road and parking lot. The project also includes clearing and grubbing existing islands, lime stabilizing island and providing crushed aggregate surfacing in those islands. Dependent upon the availability of funds, an alternative will be added with work to consist of a single course asphalt surface treatment (chip sealing) the existing parking lot at Scott?s Ridge Recreation Area per drawings and specifications. The project location is on the Sam Houston National Forest, Sam Houston Ranger District Office, Montgomery County, Texas, on FSR 212, 5 miles west of the intersection of Interstate Highway 45 and FM 1097. This will be a firm-fixed price contract. The governments estimate is between $250,000 and $500,000. Contractor is to complete the project within 145 calendar days. A 20% bid bond guarantee is required with bid submission, and the successful offeror will be required to furnish a 100% payment and performance bond upon award. The solicitation package will be ready for download on or about July 1, 2005. No hard copies of the solicitation package will be mailed out, and telephone requests are discouraged.
