Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), Information Technology Services (ITS) intends to negotiate and award a sole source, fixed price contract utilizing simplified acquisition procedures, which will be awarded to VMware, Inc. of Palo Alto, CA for training services as follows: VMware VirtualCenter and ESX Server Training, 4-day class onsite in St. Louis, Missouri for 12 students. At present, VMware directly performs the authorized training services for customers in the St. Louis region. VMware does not have a partner who is authorized and licensed to provide such onsite training services in St. Louis. The period of performance for this requirement will be during the week of July 18, 2005. This non-competitive action will be awarded under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 (Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements). This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. Inquiries will only be accepted by email to the primary contact person listed in this notice. Solicitation #AG-82TS-S-05-0029 must be referenced in the s.ubject line of the email.
