Description

NRCS is seeking bids for award of a fixed-price contract to construct eight rock segmented breakwaters and one rock groin at Raccoon Island, Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana. The breakwaters are to be approximately 300 feet in length and installed approximately 250 to 300 feet off the southern (of gulf-side) shoreline of Raccoon Island. Major items of work include approximately 61,800 tons of rock riprap (R500); approximately 26,910 square yards of woven geotextile; fabrication of 18 each metal settlement plates; and construction surveys. Performance period is 114 calendar days. The IFB (solicitation package) will be issued approximately 15 days from the date of this notice. Price range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. A formal site visit has been tentatively scheduled for 9:00 AM, Thursday, July 14, 2005 at Coco Marina in Cocodrie, Louisiana; the IFB will provide further details. All responsible offers are invited to submit an offer which will be considered by the agency.
