- PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE NOTICE CAREFULLY AS IT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY NOTICE THAT WILL BE ISSUED. THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN FAR SUBPART 12.6, AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. QUOTES ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) number is EA133E-05-RQ-1531. NOAA, National Climatic Data Center, Asheville, NC intends to purchase the following: (1) 32 Port Brocade 4100 Switch with SFPs and enterprise software bundle (Fabric Watch (FW), Advanced Performance Monitor (APM), Extended Fabric (EF), and Trunking (T), quantity 3 each. (2) Secure Fabric OS SW license for Brocade 4100, quantity 3 each. Two year warranty on all parts and labor shall be included. NOTE: Quote must include consideration for Government trade-in of four (4) Brocade 3800s. Required delivery is 4 weeks after award, F.O.B. Destination NCDC Asheville, NC. This is 100% set-aside for small business. NAICS Code is 423430 with a Size standard of 100 employees. Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-04. FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors--Commercial Items applies. Evaluation will be in accordance with FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation--Commercial Items. Award will be made to the responsible, responsive offeror whose offer will result in the lowest technically acceptable price. A completed copy of FAR 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications--Commercial Items must be submitted with quote. FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions--Commercial Items and 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders--Commercial Items, apply. The following addenda or additional terms and conditions apply: none. Offers should include price and delivery terms and the following additional information: Trade-in for four (4) Brocade 3800s. Offers must be submitted to Acquisition Management Division, NOAA, 200 Granby St., Room 815, Norfolk, VA 23510 or may be faxed to 757-441-3786. Offers must be received by 2:00 p.m. on June 23, 2005.
