Description
The National Institutes of Health (NIH), Office of Dietary Supplements (ODS) is seeking small business concerns, including but not limited to, 8(a) small business and/or small disadvantaged business, HUBZone small business and service-disabled small business concerns with the capabilities to develop and maintain a database of all supplemental labels sold in the United States. The creation of this database would allow ODS to have access for research purposes of all known supplements manufactured in the United States and to allow access by other Federal agencies for ensuring safety to consumers, through the mandatory listing of ingredients in these products on the label, who purchase supplements manufactured and/or sold in the United States. A thorough understanding of the importance of label information and the importance of the scientific accuracy, validity and consistency of label information is critical to the success of this project. The NIH is requesting capability statements from those identified above entities capable of fulfilling this requirement. The full Statement of Work and Technical Evaluation Criteria for this project are posted herein. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP) and does not commit the Government to award a contract now or in the future. No RFP is available at this time. Small business concerns that believe they possess the capability necessary to undertake the work described in the Statement of Work should submit an original and two (02) copies of capability statement, not to exceed 25 (twenty-five) pages, to the address shown in this notice by June 13, 2005. Capability statements exceeding the page limitation may not be evaluated. Interested sources should tailor capability statements to be responsive to the statement of work and evaluation criteria posted herein. Electronic copies of capability statements will also be accepted and can be submitted via email to jonessi@mail.nih.gov or faxed to Silver C. Jones @ (301) 402-0178. Electronic capability statements are also subject to the 25 page limitation. The North American Classification System (NAICS) code is 541511. SEE NUMBERED NOTE 26. No collect calls will be accepted.
