- Description
- The Government intends to award a noncompetitive purchase order using commercial item acquisition procedures authorized by FAR Parts 12 and 13 for a media research and strategic communications campaign in Peru to facilitate the fight against drug trafficking and related problems. The contractor will be required to advise Peruvian government organizations on how to improve public campaigns against drug trafficking, review existing conditions in coca growing and eradication program areas, submit research reports, disseminate relevant information, and similar efforts. This is a follow-on to a contract awarded earlier this year. Performance period will be six months starting September 1, 2005, with two, six-month options to renew. This notice is not a request for competitive quotations; this acquisition will be processed using the authority in FAR 6.302-1. See note 22 with the exception that the time period for receipt of quotations is 30 days instead of 45 days. Solicitation is not available at this time. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to change the acquisition strategy.
