Description
MARKET SURVEY/SCREENING INFORMATION REQUEST (SIR)/REQUEST FOR OFFER (RFO) DTFAAC-05-Q-02357 AIRBUS AIRCRAFT SYSTEMS FAMILIARIZATION/MAINTENANCE TRAINING The Department of Transportation (DOT), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Contract & Program Administration, Out-Of-Agency Training Team (AMA-260), has a requirement to train 7 FAA inspectors in Airbus Aircraft Systems Familiarization/Maintenance prior to September 30, 2005, per the following table: A-300 Systems - 1 student A-300/600 (A-310) Systems - 2 students A-300-B4 Systems - 1 student A-330 Systems - 3 students Interested parties may quote on all or part of the training identified in the table above to furnish 80 to 120 hours of commercial-off-the-shelf familiarization/maintenance training. All interested parties are advised that the FAA will not pay for any information or any administrative costs incurred that are associated with any response received from industry in response to this Market Survey/Request for Offer. Therefore, any costs associated with submissions will be solely at the expense of the interested party. The purpose of this Market Survey is to: 1) Communicate the FAA's current plans; 2) Improve the Government's understanding of the current marketplace; 3) Obtain information on available sources, technology and innovative approaches that may fulfill its training mission need; 4) Gain insight into industry capabilities and best practices. 5) Collect suggestions that will improve the government's current training curriculum. The Scope of Work is described in the attached Performance Work Statement located in Section C.2 of the SIR/RFO document. The National American Industrial Classification (NAIC) code is 611512. All questions, comments or recommendations shall be submitted in writing, preferably 1 week prior to the close date of the SIR/RFO. Written submissions must be received (not just postmarked) by the due date. Acceptable responses submitted via e-mail shall be in either Adobe, portable document format (pdf), or Microsoft Word 2000 (or earlier) format with file sizes not exceeding 1MB. All bids are due by 3:00 pm Central Standard Time (CST) on July 15, 2005. All sources interested in bidding should first attempt to download the Screening Information Request (SIR), Request for Offer (RFO) from the Internet.
