- This is a supplemental sources sought notice for operation and maintenance of the Cobra Dane radar installation located in Shemya AK. A previous notice was posted under reference number FA2521-04-CobraDane. A solicitation has not been issued. This notice is to solicit comments on the draft statement of work (SOW) also posted to this website, in relation to contract type, source selection procedures, and phase-in requirements. Required services are to be procured on a firm fixed price basis with cost reimbursement line items for travel, supplies/materials and minor maintenance subcontracting. A 30 day phase-in period will be included in the contract. The price/performance tradeoff source selection technique is to be used for this procurement because only threshold performance requirements exist for this service. Additional performance capabilities beyond the high standards required by the statement of work would not be of benefit to the government. Relevance of past performance will be defined as broadly as possible. All businesses that feel they would be interested in this solicitation should respond with comments on the draft SOW and this notice NLT the closing date of this announcement.
