Description

NOTICE TO OFFERORS: Funds are not presently available for this project. No award will be made under this synopsis nor solicitation until are available. The Government reserves the right to cancel this synopsis and/or solicitation, either before or after the closing date, with no obligation to the offeror by the Government. FA4486-05-R-0015, Construct Pest Management Facility at Lajes Field, Azores, Portugal. Worked to be performed consists of the following features, but in no way limits the contractor to perform all work required by drawings and specifications for this project: Perform exterior site work (grading, paving, water, sewerage, electrical, and communications infrastructure), construction of concrete foundations and footings, concrete masonry unit (CMU) walls, reinforced cast-in-place concrete roof structure, clay tile roof construction, non load-bearing metal stud and sheetrock wall construction. Installation of restroom plumbing and fixtures, locker and shower rooms, emergency eyewash stations, custom fabricated cabinets and counters, vinyl and ceramic tile, suspended acoustical ceiling system, Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC), fire detection and alarm systems, interior electrical distribution and lighting, and communications facility wiring. Construct hazardous chemical (herbicides & pesticides) storage and mixing rooms. The performance period is approximately 260 calendar days. The magnitude of this project is between $500,000 (EUR 515,700.00) and $1,000,000 (EUR 1,031,400.00). Low Price Techinically Acceptable (LPTA) procedures will be utilized for this procurement. North American Industry Classification System assigned to this acquisition is 236210. This requirement is restricted to mainland Portugal and its territories. All responsible sources meeting the criteria set forth in the Request for Proposal (RFP) may submit an offer, which will be considered by the Government. The request for Proposal (RFP) package will be available for downloading and viewing at Electronic Posting System (EPS) at http://www.eps.gov on or about 27 Jun 03. A pre-proposal conference/site visit will be scheduled at Lajes Field and advertised via solicitation. The RFP package will be available on the Internet only. There will be no hard copies of this solicitation issued. The solicitation, plans, specifications, and drawings will not be provided in a printed paper format; however, the Government reserves the right to revert to paper medium when it is determined to be in the Government?s best interest. All proposals and other normal documents required for the proposal submittal, including amendments to the proposal submittal, shall be in paper medium. T-615, Room 201, Lajes Field, Azores Portugal 09720-7775, or e-mail to: Jamie.dufrene@lajes.af.mil. Award of this project is subject to availability of funds. All contractors interested in receiving notification of updates/amendments to the solicitation posted on the EPS are urged to enroll on the web site mailing list for this acquisition. Those contractors enrolled will be notified automatically of any changes made to the RFP through their e-mail addresses. No telephone requests will be accepted.
