Hardage, Contracting Officer, FAX 256-842-7629, AMSAM-AC-LM-L, E-mail: Carol.Hardage@redstone.army.mil; The U S Army Aviation and Missile Command intends to establish a firm, fixed contract with estimated quantity ranges for five-year requirements in support of OH-58D with deliveries to Fort Worth, TX 76101-1981 for the following items: NOUN: Floor, Aircraft, Max Qty 90 each, NSN: 1560-01-528-9559, P/N: 406-961-016 (-107S), PRON: AX5Q0262AX; NOUN: Fuselage Section, Max Qty 90 each, NSN: 1560-01-528-9563, P/N: 406-030-235-103A, PRON: AX5Q0263AX ; NOUN: Fuselage Section, Max Qty 90 each, NSN: 1560-01-528-9568, P/N: 206-032-310 (-181A), PRON: AX5Q0264AX; NOUN: Floor Aircraft, Max Qty 90 each, NSN: 1560-01-528-9567, P/N: 206-013-313-207A, PRON: AX5Q0265AX; NOUN: Fuselage Section, Max Qty 90 each, NSN: 1560-01-528-9575, PN: 406-030-246 (-105A), PRON: AX5Q0266AX; NOUN: Console, Aircraft, Max Qty 90 each, NSN: 1560-01-528-9576, PN: 406-030-100 (-609A), PRON: AX5Q0267AX. All of the items are restricted to Bell Helicopter Textron Inc., CA GE Code: 97499 because PN: 406-961-016 (-107S) requires engineering source approval by the design control activity in order to maintain the quality of the part. Existing unique design capability, engineering skills, and manufacturing knowledge by the qu alified source(s) require acquisition of the part from the approved source(s); PN: 206-032-310 (-181A) is restricted because the rights to use the data needed to purchase this part from additional sources are not owned by the Government and cannot be purc hased, developed, or otherwise obtained. It is uneconomical to reverse engineer this part. PNs: 406-030-235-103A, 206-013-313-207A, 406-030-246 (-105A) and 406-030-100 (-609A) are restriced because the data needed to acquire this part competitively is n ot physically available, it cannot be obtained economically, nor is it possible to draft adequate specifications or any other adequate, economical description of the material for a competitive solicitation. Adequate technical data is not available for thi s acquisition. All offerors must meet prequalification requirements in order to be eligible for award. Firms that recognize and can produce the required item described above are encouraged to identify themselves. Firms are encouraged to seek source app roval in order to compete for future solicitations by accessing the website www.redstone.army.mil/cmo/ and looking under CAPSAR and Policy Relating to Source Approval Request (SAR) for Aviation Requirments. All responsible sources may submit an offer, wh ich shall be considered by the Agency. The closing date annotated is an estimated date and may be adjusted dependent upon the date of release for solicitation; however, the solicitation will not close prior to the date stated above.
