Description

The Government is requesting technical, cost and schedule information for satellite communications modems using full featured DVB-S2/RCS (including Variable and Adaptive Coding and Modulation) as a baseline IP over SATCOM waveform standard for the Do D. The DoD also is assessing the potential for incorporating unique capabilities that provide critical functionality such as encryption, but at the same time, leveraging COTS technologies. Further DoD is assessing the potential for extending and supplemen ting the DVB-S2/RCS standards to achieve an any-to-any (i.e. mesh) communications capability and to realize other specific DoD requirements. Specific information requested by the Government, along with technical points of contact and submission instructio ns can be found on the Army's Single Face to Industry (ASFI) Interactive Business Opportunities Page (IBOP), https://abop.monmouth.army.mil, under CECOM - Market Research. Please be advised that this notice does not constitute a Request for Proposal and i s not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government will not reimburse contractors for any costs incurred in responding to this request for information.
