Description

Contractor shall supply and deliver batteries, power supplies/chargers, inverters, hydrometer and associated equipment to R.S. Kerr Powerhouse, Broken Bow Powerhouse, and Keystone Powerhouse. The batteries shall include seismic battery racks with in tegral spill containment and the Contractor shall remove and dispose of the existing batteries, and install the new batteries. Contractor shall dispose of the existing batteries through recycling. The existing racks shall also be removed and disposed of by the Contractor. The batteries furnished under these specifications shall have a nominal capacity of 1200, 800, and 350-Ampere-Hours minimum and shall be lead selenium or lead antimony type station batteries. The 125 volt batteries shall consist of 58 cells total and the 48 volt batteries of 29 cells. Each battery charger / battery eliminator shall be convert plant three phase 480 volt power to the appropriate regulated dc voltage (130 or 48 vdc) for the battery and loads it serves. This procurement i s advertised as a Commercial Item using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Plans and specifications will be available on or about June 27, 2005 and will be provided in a printed hard copy format free of charge.
