- The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation-Snake River Area Office East, Burley, Idaho, per the authority of FAR 6.001(a) and using FAR Part 12 procedures, intends to negotiate a non-competitive contract with Basler Electric Company, 12750 State Route 143, Highland, IL 62249, for the acquisition of two (2) DEC S -300 Digital Controllers for the Inman Excitation Systems at Minidoka Dam and Powerplant in Rupert, Idaho. The NAICS Code applicable to this requirement is 335311. Basler is uniquely qualified to provide the regulator system kit for the following reasons: a) The existing Inman Excitation Systems are Basler products furnished under the original contract, 2) A spare DEC S-300 is currently available at the Bureau of Reclamation- Denver Office which can be utilized if the situation arises. Although this notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, persons interested in this requirement may identify their capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. All information received by 4:00 PM June 27, 2005 will be considered by the Government in determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination not to compete this proposed action, however, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
