- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items. The solicitation number is Q1730050035 and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). Quotations are being requested. A written solicitation is also available at http://ideasec.nbc.gov and will be posted on or about June 16, 2005. This solicitation is for Multi-Parameter Water Quality Loggers. Quantity 4 each. 1. This is solicitation is set-aside for Small Business. 2. The NAICS code is 334516. 3. It is anticipated that a single firm-fixed price contract will be awarded. 4. Delivery: 30 days from receipt of order. 5. FOB Destination. 6. Delivery Address: Cape Cod National Seashore, 99 Marconi Site Road, Wellfleet, MA 02667. 7. SPECIFICATIONS: Item 1: Multi-Parameter Water Quality Logger - 4 each Item 2: Fluorescence Chlorophyll Probe Assembly - 4 each Item 3: DO Field Replacement 6 Series Probe Kit - 4 each. The products must be able to collect data parameters (see below) and that they conform to certain specifications. The following YSI products meet these specifications: YSI 6600 EDS-S Multi-parameter Water Quality Logger, 6025 Fluorescence Chlorophyll Probe Assembly, 6562 DO Field Replacement 6 Series Probe kit. * Loggers must be able to collect and store data every 15 min. for deployment times of at least one month with the ability to prevent build-up of biological or inorganic material on the sensor surfaces, i.e. a sensor wiper system that would interface with the instrumentation. * Loggers must have sensors to collect the following parameters without a loss of data accuracy or precision over the desired deployment period (=one month): 1) Depth - minimum accuracy of 0.02m. 2) Temperature 3) Conductivity 4) pH 5) Dissolved oxygen - The logger must use a "rapid pulse" method that does not require stirring, since the stirring method may be more susceptible to fouling (physical and especially biological during extended deployment). 6) Turbidity 7) Chlorophyll * Must have motorized wiper to extend deployment time. Include configuration of wiper for all probes listed above. * The diameter of the sonde must be 3.5" in order to fit existing mounts throughout the Cape Cod National Seashore. * Must include software for managing and downloading data, as well as sonde communications. * Files need to have the ability to be exported into a Windows XP operating system. * Safety- Shipping of chemicals must have proper hazard labeling on shipping box. Proper safety documentation and communication is required. * Warranty - Includes 1 year warranty to include parts, both on-site and off-site labor, unlimited phone and *mail technical support. 8.
