- Description
- NAVAIR Training Systems Division, Orlando, FL has a requirement to secure hardware, software, labor, and supervision to reconfigure an existing telecommunications room electrical grounding configuration, and maintain telecommunications systems located at NAVAIR TSD, 12350 Research Parkway, Orlando, FL 32826-3224. Systems include Northern Telecom Meridian 1 Option 81C PBX, Nortel Companion wireless system, Nortel Call Pilot voice mail system, Valcom paging system, Avotus/Switchview telecommunications management system, Optivity telecommunications management system, and other ancillary and peripheral equipment list to be solicited. The contractor shall be responsible for maintenance and support functions. The Contractor shall be an Authorized Distributor of Northern Telecom Voice Switching equipment and/or a Nortel Premium Partner. The contractor shall be an Authorized Distributor of the Optivity Telephone Manager System (OTM). The Contractor shall have direct access to Nortel?s Emergency Technical Assistance Support (ETAS). The Contractor shall have access to technical support for Valcom Paging Systems. This requirement is necessary to establish an acceptable level of product experience and to ensure access to the respective manufacturers for software licensing and Technical Support. A Commercial Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract is anticipated, with a 12-month period of performance followed by four (4) option years. The initial maintenance support period will be from 1 October 2005 through 30 September 2006. The responses will serve as a basis for the Government?s decision to establish this requirement as an 8(a), Small Business Set-Aside, or Unrestricted requirement. It is anticipated that the NAICS Code 334210 with a small business size standard of 1,000 employees will be used for this acquisition. This acquisition might be conducted in accordance with FAR 6.203, Set-asides for Small Business Concerns. Businesses capable of accomplishing the required services are invited to submit literature, brochures, and capability summaries identifying, at a minimum, BUSINESS SIZE and past (limit to within 3 years) and/or current performance on similar contracts (include dollar value, complexity and point of contact). Potential sources must identify their business type (i.e., large business, small business, small disadvantaged business, 8(a) certified business, woman-owned business, etc).
