- Description
- The Navy intends to solicit and award a firm fixed-price, definite quantity supply contract to design, fabricate, test, and deliver a fiber optic link to connect the signal from an RF antenna to an Ultra Wide Band (UWB) communications receiver as part of a portable, small size, and low electrical power consumption receive system. This procurement is a not a follow on. This procurement is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. Note 1 applies. The applicable NAICS is 334290 and the small business size is 750 employees. Selection will be based on a best value source selection using a trade-off process. Therefore award may not be made to the lowest priced offeror. All potential offerors are reminded, in accordance with DFARS 252.204-7004, REQUIRED CENTRAL CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION (NOV 2003), lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award. The estimated release date for the solicitation is on or about July 1, 2005. Electronic copies of the solicitation will be available for download via the Internet World Wide Web at the SPAWAR E-Commerce Central Business Opportunity Page, Systems Center - San Diego, "Open Solicitations", https://e-commerce.spawar.navy.mil/. The Government will not provide hard copy versions of the solicitation and any subsequent amendments. Notification of any changes (amendments) to the solicitation will be made only on the Internet at https://e- commerce.spawar.navy.mil/; it will be the contractor's responsibility to check the website for any posted changes. All prospective offerors and plan rooms are encouraged to register for automatic e-mail notification of changes/amendments on the SPAWAR E-Commerce Central Business Opportunity Page website.
